the best possible way. He competently and quickly set up all the mics
and calmly conducted the ensuing recording session, without
unnecessary interruptions. And this is a thing about him - Alex is
quietly unflappable.

In contrast to my usual approach, for this session I was going for
single-take performances with no click-track and no - or at least
minimal - drop-ins. This kind of session often sounds a little basic
since there's nothing else going on to lift it - you simply get What
You've Played. A surprise came, though, when I briefly checked one of
the recordings. It already sounded huge and full and polished, and
made me sound better than I thought I'd played. Which is not
difficult, in reality, but still...

And the final products sound immaculate. Alex possesses a wealth of
technical knowledge and a great ear. A recommended experience."
