I’m Alex, a Cotswolds-based musician and sound engineer.

​

Music is my passion, my profession and everything in between. 

I have twenty years’ experience playing both acoustic and electric guitar. I fell in love with the instrument at a young age and have performed in bands, as a solo musician and now in as a member of acoustic duo EmberOak ever since.

​

I’ve worked in recording studios as an assistant and recording engineer and have produced, mixed and mastered music since my teens.  I have worked in the live music and events industry all my professional life.  I engineer for live events in venues from small bars and corporate venues to festival tents and theatres.

​

Songs I have written and produced have been featured on BBC radio as BBC Introducing's Song of The Week and on commercial radio stations and I have composed music for short and feature-length films and short documentaries.

• Certified Apple Logic Pro user

• BSC (Hons) Creative Music Technology (First class)

• RSL Guitar Grade 8

• ABRSM Music Theory Grade 5

• ABRSM Jazz Trombone Grade 5

• Audinate Dante Level 2 certified

• Avid Pro Tools 101

As a member of the Education & Application Support team for d&b audiotechnik GB Ltd, I have also had the opportunity to work on some exciting projects within the ever-growing immersive audio world utilising d&b Soundscape and have provided demonstrations and events using the most current d&b PA system series in world-famous studios and events.
